Municipal Government Act Regulations

A key initiative for AUMA is the Municipal Government Act (MGA), as it provides the foundation for the way that municipalities plan, govern, and pay for services for their residents.  This page provides a single location for all documents relating to the regulations under the MGA.

We want your input!

The province is posting each regulation for 60 days to allow for feedback. AUMA is seeking input on regulations that have significant impact to the broader membership. Below are the regulations that have been released and are currently open for comment along with AUMA’s submissions from 2016 relating to them.

If you would like to provide a comment on any of the regulations, please fill out the form and email the completed form to The form is standardized for all regulations and we ask that you fill in a separate form for each regulation you are providing input on.
